The Netflix App was recently released for review in the Blackberry Marketplace. You can currently watch netflix movies online but if your looking to just change your netflix queue through an app you can download the netflix queue manager.
Hulu also provides online streaming movies for the Playbook. You can search playbookrevolution.com to find your favorite movie or show and watch them on your Playbook.

I JUST spoke to a Netflix rep and she said that Netflix and Blackberry are in negociation regarding the app. She also said that many Playbook owners have called in the pass 2 weeks looking for the app. She took my account information and said that she'd pass my request to customer service. I suggest that we ALL playbook owners call the Netflix toll fee number 1-877-320-4701 and ask for the app. We need to show that there is a need to create the Netflix app for the BB Playbook.

~ 25,000 views on this thread should be indicative of user desire. With RIM's latest pricing action and the market share they command, albeit smaller than their competitors, I think Netflix should post some relevant information.

just spoke with netflix customer support – for the 3-4 mins i was on the phone with them their support person insisted on calling the playbook a BLUEberry device and asked if it ran on the android os.
… tell you what, if shes any indication of netflix commitment to devlping a PB app then we're all doomed.
i know its minor and itll probably come in time but im finished with netflix …. whatever popular opinion is on the PB, netflix should have nipped this in the bud and got an app up and running…
business is business and a company cant always expect to get away with living on low hanging fruit.

Been looking for an affordable tablet that does the necessities. Streaming things like Netflix are becoming a necessity, for both Netflix and the hardware that runs it.
Thank you for this forum. I know to scratch this product from the list of viable purchases.
Netflix… I really worry you will be gone by the end of the year :(

I have subscribed to Netflix for over a year now, just bought a new BB Playbook… and guess what… *$&@!, it doesn`t work… no APP!!!
Do I send my new Playbook to the recycle bin or just cancel Netflix and find some other service that is willing to provide their `valued customers`with some support?

I'm another Blackberry Playbook user who wants Netflix to create an app so that we can stream Netflix movies on our Playbooks. I don't think that's asking so much! We're certainly paying enough for Netflix. There are enough of us out here who really need this app. Netflix, please listen to us and create the app we need!

I just called Netflix too. They took my request and sent it to the marketing group. She said that the more people that call the more likely they are to create one. Here's the number:

I've had my playbook since October now, and to tell you the truth, i am getting very frustrated with Netflix.
I've been subscribing to them from the moment they first became available in Canada…each time I speak with them all they say I call this number and let them know you would want Netflix to be available on PB.
The last time I spoke with them I was told that once BB releases the new update, it will be available.
Nothing as of yet.
My question is (because i've read what netflix wrote about how you can stream it now), is it really possible?
i forgot my PB at home, but was wondering if any of you have tried streaming netflix, and it actually works?
